For the extreme scarcity of iridium and thus great pressure on the supply chain, Tianrui Tech developed highly stable ruthenium-based catalysts as the backup of Ir for the PEM electrolyzers. The catalyst ink is simple to prepare, enabling various applications. The extraordinary stability (decay rate < 14μA/hr) and its stable supply chain of the Ru-catalysts, offer unlimited possibility for the large scale application of PEM water electrolyzers. Tianrui Ru-catalysts have been verified on electrolyzers, up to mega-watts.
